At a glance

What is Collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body — a structural protein found in skin, hair, nails, muscles, tendons and blood vessels. The body’s own collagen production naturally changes with age.

Each serving of Daily Habit provides 10,000 mg of hydrolysed collagen peptides, alongside vitamin C and zinc.

Why Vitamin C?

Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin, bones, cartilage, gums, teeth and blood vessels. It also contributes to the normal function of the immune system.

Each serving provides 117 mg of vitamin C — 146% of the Nutrient Reference Value.

Hippophae rhamnoides

Sea buckthorn

With its silvery leaves, long thorns and vivid orange berries, it is built for difficult places — thriving in sandy, alkaline and exposed ground, tolerating hot summers and hard continental winters.

Ours comes from an organic farm in Hungary. The berries ripen into dense clusters of deep orange, their colour coming from naturally occurring carotenoids. The flavour is equally distinctive — sharp, tart and intensely fruity, somewhere between citrus and tropical fruit, with a slightly bitter edge.

The fruit contains naturally occurring vitamin C, carotenoids, tocopherols, polyphenols, phytosterols and a range of fatty acids. The exact profile varies with the variety, growing conditions, maturity and the part of the fruit used — and that last part matters, because a berry is not chemically uniform from skin to seed.

We use 100% sea buckthorn fruit peel and pulp powder: the part that gives the berry its colour and a distinctive profile of carotenoids, polyphenols, vitamins and fatty acids.

Rosa canina

Rosehip

Once a rose has finished flowering, it leaves behind a small, bright fruit known as a rosehip. The fruit develops through the summer before ripening into shades of orange and deep red as the season changes.

For centuries, rosehips have been used across Europe in foods and traditional preparations — made into teas, preserves, syrups and other fruit preparations. We like the fruit for what it naturally contains.

Rosehip naturally contains vitamin C, carotenoids, tocopherols and a broad range of phenolic compounds. Its characteristic red and orange colour comes partly from carotenoids including beta-carotene and lycopene, alongside lutein and zeaxanthin.

We use rosehip powder for its naturally diverse composition from vitamin C and carotenoids to polyphenols and other naturally occurring plant compounds.

For us, choosing an ingredient isn't about finding the longest list of things we can put on a label.
It's about choosing ingredients with a reason to be there.
